A teenage passenger died Friday from injuries they sustained in a Tuesday morning wreck between a car and a tractor-trailer in north Alabama that also hurt two others, authorities said.
The victim, only identified as a 14-year-old from Russellville, was a passenger in a 2012 Camry LE that was struck around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday by a 2021 Freightliner tractor-trailer in Lawrence County, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Vu Quang.
The teen was taken to a local hospital following the wreck on Alabama State Route 24, about three miles east of Moulton, said Quang.
The victim died of their injuries Friday.
The driver of the Toyota and a second juvenile passenger in that vehicle were injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Further information was unavailable as state troopers continued to investigate the wreck.
