Authorities have released the name of a woman killed in a Trussville crash.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the fatality victim as Ashlen Nicole Hawkins. She was 38 and lived in Oneonta.
The wreck happened at 6 a.m. Thursday in the 5900 block of Deerfoot Parkway.
Trussville police Lt. Clint Riner said the crash involved two vehicles.
Hawkins was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:40 a.m.
The second driver, a man, was hospitalized with seriously injuries.
The investigation is ongoing by the Trussville Police Department’s traffic unit.
