You never know where a University of Alabama alum might pop up, and Netflix’s hit docuseries about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is proof of that.
Netflix’s documentary series “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” gives viewers a behind the scenes look at the trials, triumphs of women on the professional cheerleading team for the 2023-23 NFL season.
Among the rookie candidates to audition and (spoiler alert) make the cut on the series, which premiered earlier this month, is Reece Allman, a Florida native who was on the Alabama Dance Team for four years while studying dance at the University of Alabama.
“Thank you @univofalabama for the best 4 years,” Allman said in an Instagram post about her graduation from the university in 2023. “It’s been the greatest honor and blessing to walk this campus as a student. I’ll always remember this chapter and hold it near to my heart.”
Known as Reece Weaver on the show, the 22-year-old has since gotten married to her fiancé, Will Allman, who she met at the University of Alabama and also makes appearances in the series.
You can watch Allman’s first year with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, from her audition to the end of the season, by streaming “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” on Netflix now.
