A heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 12:04 a.m. valid for Monday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Tallapoosa, Dallas, Autauga, Lowndes, Elmore, Montgomery, Macon, Bullock, Lee, Russell, Pike and Barbour counties.
The weather service comments, “Heat index values in excess of 105 expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” adds the weather service.
