Huntsville metro planning organization wanting feedback on bike plan

HUNTSVILLE (WHNT) — The Huntsville Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is asking for feedback on how riding a bike could be made safer and more fun.

The MPO said it is developing a plan to create a new bicycle network within Huntsville, Madison, Triana, Owens Cross Roads and Madison County that is both safer and more connected. The organization said the plan will identify future bike routes, lanes and trails that connect to popular destinations.

To make that happen, the MPO is asking for bicyclists to share their feedback in an online survey and interactive map before August 30.

The organization is also holding an open house to allow residents to give feedback on the plan face-to-face on Wednesday, July 24. The event will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church at 600 Governors Drive.

You can find the online survey here and the interactive map here.
