For the second year in row, Jalen Hurts is ranked among the best players in the NFL by his peers.
NFL Network continued to unveil its 14th annual poll of NFL players by releasing on Wednesday the No. 11 through No. 20 finishers in the voting for this season’s list of the best players in the league.
Hurts placed 15th in “The Top 100 NFL Players of 2024.” Last year, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was the No. 3 player.
A former Crimson Tide quarterback, Hurts joins 11 other players with Alabama football roots who appeared among the first 80 players reveals in “The Top 100 NFL Players of 2024” — New York Jets linebacker Quincy Williams (Wenonah) at No. 32, Jacksonville Jaguars outside linebacker Josh Hines-Allen (Abbeville) at No. 35, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama) at No. 36, Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (Wenonah, Alabama) at No. 37, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry (Alabama) at No. 49, Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II (Alabama) at No. 52, Washington Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen (Alabama) at No. 54, Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (Alabama) at No. 63, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (Alabama) at No. 70, Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (Alabama) at No. 79 and Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (Alabama) at No. 90.
The top 10 players in this year’s rankings will be revealed at 7 p.m. CDT Friday on NFL Network.
