Morgan County authorities have arrested a Montevallo man on charges of electronic solicitation of a child.
Austin Damon Doen Carpenter, 29, was arrested and transported to the Morgan County Jail on $5,000 bond.
According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, a report was made June 20 involving an man using Snapchat to have “communication of a sexual nature with two juveniles.”
According to investigators, Carpenter planned to meet the juveniles on Saturday and arrived in an Alabama Search and Rescue (ALSAR) vehicle when he was arrested.
Additional charges are pending, the sheriff’s office stated.
