The Alabama Commission on Higher Education board has two new members this year.
Shane Spiller, of Tuscaloosa, and Terry Welch, of Decatur, were appointed to ACHE by Gov. Kay Ivey and confirmed this spring by the Alabama Senate.
Spiller’s term will expire in 2029, and Welch’s term will expire in 2031, according to their appointment letters. In the letters, Ivey said honesty and integrity are important values for her administration and the two appointees express those qualities.
