The best player in the NFL is Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, according to NFL Network’s “The Top 100 NFL Players of 2024.”
The NFL Network finished unveiling its 14th annual player poll on Friday night by revealing the top 10 for 2024, and the countdown concluded with the former West Alabama standout in the No. 1 position.
After leading the NFL with 1,799 receiving yards and tying for the league lead with 13 touchdown receptions, Hill became the first wide receiver to hold the No. 1 spot in “The Top 100 NFL Players” poll.
Hill was ranked for the eighth straight year. Before this year’s showing, Hill ranked 36th in 2017, 40th in 2018, 19th in 2019, 22nd in 2020, 15th in 2021, 15th in 2022 and seventh in 2023.
Hill’s addition on Friday night put 13 players from Alabama high schools and colleges in “The Top 100 NFL Players of 2024.” This year’s list also included:
· No. 15: Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (Alabama)
· No. 32: New York Jets linebacker Quincy Williams (Wenonah)
· No. 35: Jacksonville Jaguars outside linebacker Josh Hines-Allen (Abbeville)
· No. 36: Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama)
· No. 37: Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (Wenonah, Alabama)
· No. 49: Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry (Alabama)
· No. 52: Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II (Alabama)
· No. 54: Washington Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen (Alabama)
· No. 63: Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (Alabama)
· No. 70: Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (Alabama)
· No. 79: Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (Alabama)
· No. 90: Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (Alabama)
Following Hill in the top 10 of “The Top 100 NFL Players of 2024” were Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson at No. 2, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey at No. 3, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes at No. 4, Browns defensive end Myles Garrett at No. 5, Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones at No. 6, 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams at No. 7, Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt at No. 8, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce at No. 9 and Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby at No. 10.
