MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — NFL player Ke’Montae Tayvon “Tae” Hayes, a cornerback who played on multiple NFL teams, was arrested on drug charges in Morgan County on Sunday morning.
According to Jail records, Hayes was charged with possession of marijuana and booked into the Morgan County Jail around 3:45 a.m. He was given a $300 bond and was released around 5:07 a.m.
Jail records show that the 26-year-old NFL player was arrested by the Trinity Police Department.
Hayes was a star player at Decatur High School and played college football at Appalachian State before entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He’s played with the Jaguars, Dolphins, Vikings, Cardinals, Panthers, Patriots, Lions, Ravens, and the Jets.
According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Hayes was released by the Jets on Monday.
Hayes was also a part of the 2022 USFL Championship team in Birmingham.
