A pedestrian died after he was struck by a pickup truck Thursday morning in north Alabama, authorities said Friday.
Timothy D. Wood Jr., 34, of Leighton, in Colbert County, was hit by a 2014 Chevrolet SIlverado that initially struck a trailer attached to a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban Wood had been driving before he got out of the vehicle on Alabama State Route 184 near Shaw Road around 10 a.m. Thursday, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Cody Farrar.
Wood was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck about five miles east of Muscle Shoals.
Further information was unavailable as state troopers continued to investigate.
