On Friday at 2:40 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory valid for Friday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Choctaw, Clarke, Wilcox, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler and Crenshaw counties.
The weather service states, “Heat index values up to 112 degrees expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” explains the weather service.
