A suspect has been charged in the stabbing death of a man at a Dothan intersection.
Walter Leon Danzey Jr., 48, is charged with murder in the slaying of 53-year-old Damon Goodson, police announced Friday.
Dothan police found Goodson wounded on July 20 at the intersection of West Powell and Linden Street.
The victim had been stabbed in the upper body and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. After undergoing surgery, he was place on life support, said Lt. Scott Owens, and died the following day.
Investigators identified Danzey as a suspect and collected enough evidence to charge him, Owens said.
According to witnesses, Owens said, Goodson and the suspect were involved in an argument the day of the stabbing.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the argument.
Danzey was taken into custody Thursday. He is being held on $1.5 million bond.
