Richard is only 20 years old entering today’s competition, as he made his Olympic debut during the team competition over the weekend. He has performed at a high level for Team USA thus far, so he could reach the podium and win his second Olympic medal today.
Richard obtained great scores in numerous events during the team final on Monday, including: Parallel bars, horizontal bar, and floor exercise. He scored better than every gymnast in his rotation for all three of these events, so he will be a worthy competitor in the all-around final this morning.
Juda is also making his Olympic debut this year, as he will be 23 years old at the start of this event. He obtained great scores in vault and floor exercise on Monday, as he accrued a total of 28.866 points over the two events.
