What to know about Alabama football Fan Day 2024: Parking, autographs and more

Alabama football’s first Fan Day event of the Kalen DeBoer era has a date and time. The Crimson Tide will host an open practice at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Aug. 11, UA announced on Tuesday.

Gates will open for the event at 10:30 a.m. on that day, a Sunday. Fans will be able to enter through gates 13 and 24, and seating is available in the west side lower bowl, sections A through N.

Alabama will conduct an open practice, which is scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m. and will run two hours. Attending the practice is free to all, however, fans will have to shell out for the autograph session afterward.

Just as in 2023, Crimson Tide players and coaches, including DeBoer, will sign autographs on the field at Bryant-Denny after practice. That portion will be limited to Yea Alabama members.

Yea Alabama will email digital passes to the autograph session, which is scheduled to last around 45 minutes, ahead of the event. Adults can bring one child, ages 12 and under, for free.

Fans are limited to one autographed item, and will not be allowed to take posed photos. Monthly memberships to Yea Alabama begin at $18.

Fans attending the event can park in the West ten Hoor area of UA’s campus. The area includes two parking decks, as well as surface lots.

Parking for attendees with disabilities is available in the Wallace Wade lot. Those spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Alabama opens preseason camp Wednesday, for the first time since DeBoer replaced Nick Saban in January. The Crimson Tide begins the 2024 season on Aug. 31 against Western Kentucky in Tuscaloosa.
