A Cottondale man died Monday, three days after he was hit by a vehicle in a Tuscaloosa crosswalk.
Tuscaloosa police identified the fatality victim as John Thomas Bigham. He was 47.
Bigham was hit by a westbound vehicle about 11:30 p.m. Friday while he was walking in the 23rd Avenue crosswalk at University Boulevard.
Bigham was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center and then transferred to UAB Hospital, where he died Monday morning, said police spokeswoman Stephanie Tayor.
The investigation is ongoing.
