An Anniston man has died following a shooting earlier this month, and a suspect has been charged.
The shooting happened about 7:30 p.m. on June 2 in the 300 block of Palmetto Avenue.
Anniston police Sgt. Shawn Morehead said the victim – 50-year-old Dalriko Blake – was taken to Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center and then transferred to another hospital.
He died on June 20.
Police have charged 27-year-old Raekwon Blake with murder. He was taken into custody June 21 by Anniston police, the 7th Judicial Major Crimes Unit and U.S. Marshals.
Morehead said they are not releasing the relationship between the suspect and the victim.
