Auburn wins the pledge of 4-star 2026 edge rusher Hezekiah Harris

The Auburn Tigers have picked up their first blue-chip prospect of the 2026 class with the commitment of four-star edge rusher Hezekiah Harris.

Harris announced his commitment to the Tigers on Saturday morning, helping the Auburn program kickoff its Big Cat Weekend.

Harris, who is entering his junior year at Mae Jemison High School in Huntsville, measures 6-foot-5, 220 pounds and is ranked the No. 3 edge rusher in the class of 2026, as well as the No. 3 prospect in the state of Alabama.

As of Saturday’s commitment, Harris’ list of offers consisted of 18 schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Florida State, Oregon, Tennessee, USC and others.

However, in the case of Auburn, the Tigers got involved early in Harris’ recruitment, first offering the in-state edge rusher in January of 2023 — giving Harris his third offer.

Since then, Harris has visited The Plains four times, including this weekend’s visit for Big Cat Weekend, Auburn’s annual recruiting event.

And in those four visits to Auburn, Harris saw all he needed and made the decision to commit to the Tigers this weekend before heading back home to Huntsville.

Harris is the third commitment of Auburn’s 2026 class as he joins three-star offensive lineman Kai Ellis and three-star wide receiver Denairius Gray.
