Rain and some strong to severe storms were moving through Alabama as of Wednesday afternoon, and a severe thunderstorm watch was in effect for several counties:
Thursday could bring a break from the record heat. The weather service is forecasting temperatures to “only” reach the upper 80s in much of the state (see Thursday’s forecast at the top of this post). There is also a chance for additional rain as well.
