
BOAZ, Ala. (WHNT) — A Boaz police officer has been arrested and placed on unpaid leave after being accused of domestic violence.
According to the Boaz Police Department (BPD), the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office alerted BPD that an arrest warrant had been issued for Boaz police officer Carson Bradley Hix.
BPD tells News 19 that the arrest warrant is for a misdemeanor domestic violence charge that had been filed by the victim. After Boaz Police was notified, Hix was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail on a $4,500 bond.
According to jail records, Hix was booked into the Marshall County Jail on Wednesday around 2:52 p.m. and was released around 4:05 p.m.
Hix has been placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the case.
