On Monday at 3:40 a.m. a heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Monday between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Clarke and Wilcox counties.
The weather service adds to expect, “Heat index values up to 109 degrees expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” explains the weather service.
