Two men convicted in the fatal 2020 shooting of another man in Mobile County were sentenced on murder and other charges, prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Mobile County Circuit Court Judge Michael Youngpeter sentenced George Green Jr. to30 years in state prison in connection with the fatal Dec. 6, 2020, shooting of Antonio Rowe Jr., 26, said Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood.
Green was sentenced to 30 years for murder and 20 years for shooting into an occupied vehicle. The sentence is to run concurrently, meaning Green will serve 30 years.
Nathaniel Henderson, who was found guilty of murder and who prosecutors claimed acted as the driver of the getaway car used after the slaying, was sentenced to 20 years and one day in state prison.
“I am committed to ensuring that violent criminals are held accountable and face substantial prison sentences, reflecting our dedication to justice and public safety,” Blackwood said in a statement.
Green and Henderson were convicted by a Mobile County grand jury in May.
