Country superstar is ‘all about’ fans fighting at her shows: ‘Give ‘em hell’

Don’t throw any punches when Miranda Lambert sings “Tin Man.” In fact, don’t do anything but stand and listen.

The country superstar once got agitated with fans for taking selfies during the ballad that won Song of the Year at the ACM Awards in 2018.

Now, she has specific instructions for fighting during her concerts, and she listed which of her songs are more suited for rowdy behavior, and one you need to sit out.

And to be clear: Lambert doesn’t mind a scrap during one of her shows.

“If you want to fight at my shows, I’m all about it,” she said in a video she posted on Instagram. “Give ‘em hell.”

Lambert then named a few of her hit songs perfect for the unruly occasion. “I’ve got five songs for you,” she said, as she listed “Fastest Girl in Town,” “Kerosene,” “Little Red Wagon” “Wranglers” and “Gun Powder & Lead.”

But Lambert then singled out a chart-topper that wasn’t written for brawling. And she meant it.

“Don’t do it during ‘Tin Man.’ That’s not the time,” Lambert said, earnestly. “I know you can hear the s–t-talking ‘cause it’s a ballad. But that’s not the time. So pick your times. You’ve got five songs. Look at the set list and choose wisely.”

Fans will recall that, in 2023, Lambert paused a show in Las Vegas to scold concertgoers taking selfies during her performance.

“I’m gonna stop right here for a second, I’m sorry,” Lambert said on stage. “These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s pissing me off a little bit.

“Sorry, I don’t like it. At all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country damn music.”

“Tin Man” first appeared on Lambert’s sixth studio album “The Weight of These Wings” in 2016 before it was released on the radio in April 2017.

Co-written by Lambert, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall, the tender song about heartbreak earned critical acclaim as one of the best of Lambert’s career, as well as awards attention by garnering nominations for Single and Song of the Year at the CMA Awards in 2017, and also Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song a the 2018 Grammy Awards. It won the ACM Award for Song of the Year.

“The Weight of These Wings” album debuted at number one on the Billboard Country Albums chart and number three on the all-genre US Billboard 200 chart. It was certified platinum and won Album of the Year at the 2017 ACM Awards. Rolling Stone named it among their “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” list, putting it at 480th.

Fans chimed in to support Lambert in the comments section of her reel post.

“This is the best,” Instagram user cbfleming25 said. “Have some respect for Tin Man people. Also no fighting during vice either. Lol.”

“Tin Man is sacred,” wrote suzers81.

_kd4990_ said, “Fighting during Tin Man should be a felony.”

“The only thing I’m fighting during Tin Man is depression,” said itszachrussell.

Why fight? Not my kind of concert,” leefurr777 said. “I’ll set on the porch and listen to tin man. Peace for all not fighting.”
