The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory at 2:25 a.m. on Monday valid from 10 a.m. until Tuesday 9 p.m. for Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Perry, Bibb, Marengo and Dallas counties.
“Heat index values up to 107 degrees expected,” explains the weather service. “Expansions may be needed for more counties on Tuesday as well as the rest of the week.”
