
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A man charged with shooting two women in Huntsville last August has been indicted by a grand jury, according to court records.
Tye’ Deshun Stevens, 24, was charged with two counts of capital murder after the shooting deaths of D’Asia Monique Morris and Sequoiya Mone’e Lamar last August.
According to the Huntsville Police Department, on Aug. 29, 2023, officers responded to a shooting call on Bonnell Drive. Morris and Lamar were both found dead at the scene.
Two capital murder warrants were executed for Stevens, who was 23 at the time of the shooting. He was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force on Sept. 5, 2023, in Anniston.
