Jackson County Sheriff’s Office searching for escaped inmate



JACKSON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an escaped inmate.

According to Jackson County Sheriff Rocky Harnen, deputies are looking for Truan Bobby Evans. Harnen tells News 19 that Evans was supposed to attend and finish a rehabilitation session, however he did not.

According to Harnen, a relative of Evans was returning him to jail when he jumped out of a vehicle and ran away.

Evans is described as 6’9 and weighs 140 pounds. Evans has black hair and brown eyes.

Evans was being held in the Jackson County Jail and has been charged with 3rd-degree escape and probation violation. Harnen said his last known location is in Scottsboro.
