DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – The Decatur Police Department has identified two people that were found dead inside of a home in Decatur on September 6.
Decatur Police says that the couple was identified as Stephanie Miller Tribble, 60, and Jonathan Wayne Dawes, 44.
Upon further investigation, preliminary results indicate Dawes shot his wife and then shot himself.
DPD told News 19 that the couple was found dead following a well-being check along 5th Ave SW.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division, the Crime Scene Investigation Unit and the Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn responded to the scene.
DPD says they believe this is an isolated incident. An investigation is ongoing.
