HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – South Star Music Festival announced Friday they had found a replacement act for Jane’s Addiction.
The festival posted that Tom Morello would be replacing the band in Saturday’s lineup.
Morello is most notable for being the guitarist in the American rock band Rage Against the Machine. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2023.
Earlier in the week, Jane’s Addiction announced on social media that they would be canceling the remainder of their tour following a fight between Perry Ferrell and Dave Navarro on stage in Boston last week.
The City of Huntsville assured festivalgoers they were working on finding a replacement during a South Star update on Wednesday.
South Star Music Festival will take place at the John Hunt Park Festival Grounds on September 28 and 29.
