Third person arrested in deadly Meridian Street shooting


HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) says that a third person has been arrested after a deadly shooting on Meridian Street on Oct. 12.

HPD said that Tyler O’Neal Andrade, 21, of Huntsville, was booked into the Madison County Jail on Friday, Oct. 18. on bond. He was charged with Murder-Reckless.

Huntsville Police told News 19 that more arrests are expected as the Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate the matter.

Authorities said that Kennedy Thomas Turner, 20, of Huntsville was arrested and charged with reckless murder in the Saturday shooting which left one dead and another in critical condition.

The department said Turner was booked into the Madison County Jail on Thursday.

Jordan Latrell Smith, 21, of Huntsville, was arrested and charged with reckless murder Wednesday according to police.

The department said the shooting happened at a gas station at 3310 Meridian St. at about 9:50 p.m. 22-year-old Damien Obrien Manning was pronounced dead on the scene and a second victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.

HPD said the investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected.
